Las Cruces Neighborhoods
Picacho Hills Subdivision:
Picacho Hills Subdivision is located in west Las Cruces and has fantastic views of the Mesilla Valley and
the mountains on the east side of the city. The subdivision’s newly-constructed homes are priced from $350,000
to over $1 million, but the majority of new homes are in the $450,000 to $700,000 price range. There are three
gated communities within Picacho Hills Subdivisions.
Picacho Hills Country Club is a private facility with reasonable membership fees. Its well-maintained, first-class
golf course is approximately 24 years old. The facility also includes a luxurious club house, a swimming pool,
tennis courts and fine dining.
Sonoma Ranch Subdivision:
Sonoma Ranch Subdivision is approximately five years old and is located on the east side of Las Cruces.
The subdivision, which has three gated communities, contains homes ranging in price from $250,000 to $750,000.
Because the subdivision is relatively new, there are homes under construction at all times.
Sonoma Ranch features an 18-hole public golf course and club house with moderate green fees and cart rental prices.
Also, an elementary school and an intermediate school are conveniently located adjacent to the subdivision.
Sonoma Ranch is close to White Sands Missile Range and Johnson Space Center, two of the largest employers in the Las Cruces area. Several restaurants and banks, as well as a variety of medical services and shopping opportunities,
are within a few minutes drive.
Village of Mesilla:
Mesilla, the original Dona Ana County Seat, provides Las Cruces with the rustic feeling of Santa Fe. The homes are pueblo
style, with flat roofs, adobe construction and thick walls.
Summit Chase Subdivision:
The Summit Chase Subdivision is located outside the city limits of Las Cruces but has community water systems, septic tanks,
underground utilities, natural gas, cable TV, telephone service and electricity. The lots in this subdivision usually average one
acre in size, and homes are typically in the $350,000 to $850,000 price range. The subdivision is located just south of the New Mexico
State University Golf Course and New Mexico State University.
Talavera Subdivision:
The Talavera Subdivision is located on the East Mesa of Las Cruces with views to the west. Horses are allowed on most of the lots,
which range from one to 10 acres in size. Community water and septic systems supply the homes.
High Range Subdivision:
The homes in the High Range Subdivision are up to 23 years old, but new homes are under construction at all times. The older resale
homes are priced from $170,000 to $350,000, while new homes range in price from $240,000 to $750,000, with the majority priced between
$250,000 and $350,000.
Las Colinas Subdivision:
Las Colinas provides homes in a moderate price range. The subdivision is on the northeast side of Las Cruces. The subdivision is within a 15 to 25 minute drive from Johnson Space Center and White Sands Missile Range. Although Las Colinas
Subdivision, which was started in 1986, is completely built out, there are resale homes on the market consistently. The prices in Las
Colinas range from $150,000 to $275,000.
Dos Suenos Subdivision:
This is one of the newest subdivisions in Las Cruces. Many homes are currently under construction, with prices ranging from $220,000 to
$350,000. All city utilities are available in the Dos Suenos Subdivision and is in the NorthEast
part of Las Cruces adjacent to Las Colinas.
